Lunch is On Us
HERO'S has great news!
The Food Bank is now managing Lunch is On Us!
The Food Bank and LIOU has been formally working together for the last five years to access Harvest Manitoba and to distribute soup through the Food Bank as well as the twice weekly soup program. LIOU has been providing between 800 and 1100 lunches a month! The partnership is a perfect fit for both the Food Bank and LIOU.

Men's Health Survey Results
In May 2025, HERO'S Alliance compiled the results of a Men's Health survey we did in winter 2025. Not surprisingly, responses from men in Lac du Bonnet aligned with those of men all across Canada. Have a look at the infographic for a summary of results.

Everyone can be a hero.
HERO'S Alliance is a volunteer, grass roots non-profit that exists to enhance the overall health, wellness and security of all individuals living in the Lac du Bonnet area whom are underserved by existing programs and require additional support. We are grateful for the partnerships and support we have from funders, granters and organizations that collaborate with us on our endeavours.
We wouldn't be able to do the things we do without them!
Food Security
Food Security exists when all people have access to safe and nutritious food. HERO'S started a Food Security Network, lead by an IERHA Dietician. It is an interagency group working to fill gaps in the community. Projects include Lunch is On Us which serves 800+ lunches twice a week, popular Meal Bags distributed in the community, and food preservation workshops.
